FWIW, When I emailed Eric Schmidt (Sigmapert) direct to order - sigmapert at r-390a.eu - The price on a set of electrolytics for an R390A was $49.50 PLUS a 5% discount for ordering direct and using PayPal, And the shipping was included in the price. Just sayin.....
For disclaimer purposes: I have no connection with Sigmapert other than being a satisfied customer.
And, I did the cans once and that was enough even though they turned out great. I threw the original octal base away because of the difficulty connecting replacement capacitor leads to the original base pins, used bases from a couple of old 5Y3 rectifier tubes I had no use for (the cans slip snugly right over them), drilled and tapped holes on opposite sides of the old tube base for 4-40 screws, mounted the electrolytics in the base and now have a pair of restuffed stock dimension and stock looking (sort of) electrolytics with removeable cans in case I need to do it again in the future.

I did take one of the cans apart, but
it looked so horrible when I got done, I thought it looked
better just covering the holes with blue tape and installing
the caps underneath. I kept the hardware though. If the
economy ever recovers enough and my 401K starts making a few
bucks, I'll get those hayseed caps. $60 is not too
outrageous for that, but it's like the Norton M/C, where do
you stop? That one cost me $8K and I could spend another 4
or so easy.
