There are many LMxxx and classD amps out there. As Bernie and Perry have noted, these draw little current, and their audio output is phenomenal. Do not believe that powering these devices from a unipolar source is a real problem. Over the years, there have been published many discrete SS audio amp mods published, that run off of the 28VDC filament source. My 02¢ opinion for what's it worth..................
