Not exactly, as I remember.  (I have not checked the manuals).

As I remember, the 28 volt supply is brought in from the main AC supply connector, along with the 115 volt line current,

Th other multiple pin connector is used to REMOTELY select any of the pre-set frequencies.  Without checking the manuals, I don’t know how the system is set up to not respond to the local channel switch.
