[R-390] Sheby NC Swap meet.

Fellows,
 

Shelby NC swap meet was such fun today.
R390A looking fair was asking $450.00
R389 working complete was asking $1800.00
A couple R392 were seen
A R388 was seen.
Plenty of good used tube type transceivers wereseen.
Tube prices were up.
Crowd was good.
The boat anchor Fellows were out in force.
It was a nice day.
 
The Shelby meet is held at the Lincoln County FairGrounds in Shelby. The fairgrounds has a large number of bleachers set up alonga Kudzu patch off the parking area. After the morning haze burned off, quite agroup started collecting on the bleachers around the Kudzu patch. Two fellowswere squiring roundup on a couple runners to see how far the Kudzu would reachout to suck up the roundup. Down on the other end of the bleachers severalpeople were just watching the Kudzu grow. One of the guys spit a wad of chewinto the patch and the whole patch shuddered. About six more guys wanted tothrow that fellow off the top of the bleachers as they had side bets going onseveral of the runners growing toward the bleachers. I had no idea that watchingKudzu grow was such a competitive sport at the county fair level.
