A short time ago, I mentioned I had a quantity of Twinax cable jumpers with Amp connectors. The only taker was a nice chap from Australia. Although I cried when I cut the connectors off of the cable, the only other choice was $65 shipping, to send the whole thing to Oz.....

Hi
IBM used the same connector in one of their early LAN setups. Both sides of the
connector and the cable are relatively cheap if you do some digging.

That's where I got mine, AS-400 was the system. The 90 degree radio
adapters are the expensive bits, and all they due is run one of the pins to
ground.

I use a piece of coax with the center inserted into one pin and the shield
to the outer shell.
The shield and a jumper to the other pin are held in place with a
compression clamp.
The end of the coax pig-tail has a female phono plug on it.
This took longer to type then build.

I enlist your help to know where to look for my RBC radio drifting off
frequency. This radio has been "rock solid" for years and just began to drift,
slightly, today. Any ideas will be appreciated. Yes, I have a 390A.

Ted,
The usual suspects in order.
A tube going bad. Any tube draws excess current or less current changes the B+
load and drifts the oscillator.
Oxide in a tube socket. Any tube socket. adds resistance to a B+ line and drifts
the oscillator.
A leaky cap in the oscillator section.
Check all the tubes.
Deoxit the sockets pins and switches.
Give the chassis a general good dusting
Give the case a bath if you can get every thing out of the case.
Eye ball all the parts and solder joints under the chassis for problems.
Shot gun the general stuff first and se if you get a cure.
If no then get specific in the oscillator.
