Hi

1) This hobby is one that some people drift in and out of. There are a *lot* of people who once were very active in it and are no longer as active.

2) This list (like many others) has it’s occasional cat fights. After some number of them people take offense / get tired and drop out. In some cases off list attacks also figure in.

3) None of us are getting any younger. Few of us are getting any richer. Lugging around big heavy radios and financing their “needs” can be a drain. Once you stop working on them, talking about them may (or may not) be something you want to do.

4) The number / variety of stations on SW (if you are an SWL) is ever dwindling. Like it or not, that impacts how much use you get out of these old beasts. Less fun = less reason to continue.

Take your pick.

Bob
