Wow!
I did not know Barry H had passed. What a lost. Had a nice conversation with
him a couple years back about Edlie Electronics.

Yes, he was a wealth of information on other sets, too. Had a soft spot in
his heart for old WWII Navy sets like the RAL/RAK and had a BUNCH of them.
Was surprised that LI didn't sink. Not sure if it's still up, but his site
had the Hollow State News Letter back issues online for download. Think it
was something like Hausernet.com.
At one point I think we had 5-6 Barrys. Hauser was #1, Williams aka
eggbeater pilot aka the other was #2, Barry N4-something (can't remember his
name or full call but I sent him some Zenith TO parts eons ago) was #3,
Barry...Ornitz(?) the chemist was #4 and I'm pretty sure there was at least
one or two more for a while.
Hauser was the comic relief. He had a knack for talking folks in off the
ledge when they started taking themselves or the list too seriously. Back in
the day the biggest problem we had was lack of inflection from the written
(typed) word losing the intended meaning, causing some feathers to get
ruffled. How times have changed. "Progress".
