List,

The long lead in:

Hammarlund’s R 620 was the *final hurrah* of
optimization of the SP 600 series and they made only 100.

There several improvements that they used that I
incorporated into the SP 600 foundation schematic I created.

The original two section schematic done by Hammarlund
(that was sent to me by Norm Dubleon(sp) ) was the best laid out schematic I’ve
ever seen.

However, the TM 11-851 supplement was written, reviewed,
and approved by cretins promoted far beyond their abilities.  Instead of re-writing the manual covering the
changes, you were told you take a printed copy of the original TM 11-851 and annotate
or change over 30 paragraphs, many which were long.  This totally ignored the fact that there was
no physical pace to do this.

The same garbage quality extended to the individual
illustrations.  These separate sections
of schematics are supposed to help one understand the operating functions of a
specific section.

Instead, changes were drawn on top of
illustrations that applied to several other SP 600 versions, then annotated with
what applied to the different models.  So
one had to look at the illustration and figure out what part of the two or
three versions applied to the R-620 or not.

My contribution to the group was to digitize all
of the illustrations and edit out what didn’t apply to the R-620.  On some of the illustrations I added
additional values. There were also conflicting details on the
voltage/resistance tables which I attempted to annotate

I also digitized both parts of the full factory schematic
so one can take it to Kinko’s and get it enlarged to whatever size one wishes
without smearing

So why does this matter?

There are factory changes that can be ported over
to any previous model SP 600 for little effort or money that will give great
performance enhancement.

For any interested, I will email you about 10 8BIT
TIFF images for the entire receiver. About 5 Mbytes of data.

As for editing the TM 11 851 supplement writing into
something useful and coherent, I leave to others.

Again, I ask if you want this set, PLEASE send an
original request email.  DO NOT do a *reply
to* email as Yahophoey will lump all those together in a mess.  Because of the file size, I will wait and BCC
a batch at one time.

Regards,

Perrier, Heretic In Chief
