Personally, I don't much care for anyone's Wheaties or feelings.

I believe it has been noted more than once.

Society has made significant changes between Nolan's time, and now.

People whine about language. I stated I don't give a rat's rump. How
many lists would have apoplexy if I changed the second word?

You'd either be surprised, or perhaps you wouldn't care.

I do things in person to person discussions that are based on whom I'm
talking with that I read the personality. You can't do that on a list.

I've already ticked off a number of folks over SWL listeners. It has
been based on MY experience with them face to face. It caused a flap.
Apologies weren't excepted.

I didn't even use a "swear" word. It was taken that I considered SWL
folks as the great unwashed.

That is further from the truth than reality.

When a number have turned up with S-120s, DAK pieces of garbage, and
want me to make them work like an SP-600 or R-390A with a good antenna,
I got crap.

My rump hurts from those that are that way.

You listen to what you are explained and demonstrated, then my
experience will change my views of those that come to me.

I've helped those that wanted to put a decent radio on the air, either
to send or just listen, and I help the best I can.

That has included repairing equipment that the 11 meter crowd had
butchered. As I repaired them, I also explained what had been done, and
what it did.

A number of them did go on and become Amateur Operators. Some did not,
but paid attention, especially when antenna design and methods were
explained, and books have been loaned out to get there.

Now we are dredging up past history once more. I still don't subscribe
to the magazines that have been discussed. My budget isn't big enough
to subscribe to them all.

Electric Radio, Sky & Telescope, and Discover are present here.
