[R-390] R-390A Stability

This is indeed the case.  I use a thermistor inrush limiter and 12 volt
oscillator tubes and have used the 390A to listen to crystal oscillators
to see what they were doing.  Of course these crystals were run in liquids
and I was listening for compression wave resonances as the liquid evaporated.
The 390A stability was certainly adequate.
