I agree with Perry, there are list members who cannot belittle you on the
substance of what you have to say so they poke at the style that you use in
bringing out an idea or an approach.
Generally when I see stuff like that I lose what little respect I hold for
them.
Most are mature enough (in years) to be able to feel justified in their
comments on the apparent lack of decorum or respect of the younger
generation(s). I cannot say that you are all right in your opinions as I am
one of those young "whippersnappers" (being born during the Kennedy
administration. There has been enough meanness and petty bickering over the
years on this list that there are just times that I clam up and decide to
not contribute for a few weeks.
Do the curmudgeons care? Not at all. They will either say that I am a
disrespectful youth or an oversensitive, emotional woman. Ten or fifteen
years from now, when more people on this list have taken the dirt-nap it
will be up to men and women like me to carry the passion for these radios
onward to future generations. Do you want to be remembered as one of the
greats or just a bitter, argumentative old man?
If you don't like what I have to say? Tough!

the unpredictable must invariably be taken into account." -- George Orwell
