Simply place in a "zip-loc" bag and dispose in the trash.

You can if you so desire "attempt" to dispose as Hazardous Waste.

This will only get you into a red tape rendition of Catch 22 that is NOT 
worth all the resultant issues, up to and including the confiscation of 
the meters.

Radium-226 is an alpha emitter.  The particles in question cannot 
penetrate skin, paper, NOR the suggested "Zip-Loc" bag.

That is the short and simple solution.
