Bob,

I lived on Cove Lane for about 3 years and never had the HOA bother me one minute.  
I was the renter and maybe the HOA dealt with the owner.

I never had any large antennas visible from the street, but did have a carefully hidden
dipole off the back deck into the woods and ravine behind the house.

They have some of the most stringent HOAs and covenants in Northern VA.

Those neighborhood "thugs" go ape if you even put a very small American flag on your mailbox, and heaven forbid if you don't follow "their" 
color scheme on what IS allowed!

I KNOW they don't "allow" antennas!
