He's right--my XYL is a hospital seamstress [she issues uniforms and scrubs,
makes the sheets to cover a patient in the OR with a custom hole for the
surgical site ["fenestrated drapes", properly], and the only patient contact
she has is if one happens to be entering or leaving when she is starting or
leaving her workday...and the amount of info about infection control she had
to study is pure-dee astonishing.

Yep!

First thing I did when she was brought to her room from recovery, was to don
a pair of gloves, and use "Cavi Wipes". These are hospital strength
disinfectant wipes that you MUST wear gloves to use - and then wiped down
everything in the room. I started with the bed, the IV pole and handles,
the little table, the call button, and even the TV remote control.

In GOD I trust - ALL others must pass through My portals of cleanliness!

There are already enough folks in there that bring it in, and I have NO idea
whether the staff uses the germicidal foam they have all over the place.

I even carry my own so I don't have to handle theirs! Paranoid? NO!
Statistically more folks catch more while in, then they EVER had even
remotely been exposed to!
