[R-390] Green gear

I don't know I've put the question to the list I haven't gotten an answer
specific to my question.

As best I can tell (if it's installed correctly) it doesn't actually lock
but rather tie the Khz gears together so they all move as one.

The gear does nothing for the Mhz, which I assume is because the Mhz is
because it's harder to move and easier to put back.

Please don't flame me, I'm totally new to 390s and just trying to feel my
way out here.

I'm gonna post a pic of my green gear installed too. Maybe that will help
aid in answering my question.
