Well, the JX-28/R-620/FRR is quite rare. 100 built. Obviously a purpose built receiver for the Signal Corps on this contract, Order No. 25693-Phila-53 . Only reference to it in manuals is an addendum to the TM 11-851 dated October, 1953. George has the feelers out on it, we talked about it, I know of two of them.

Interesting, that John Leary also used dual voltage regulators on most of his re-engineered SP-600’s. Very stable receivers.

Ah, I see. Learn somethin' new every day! Of course, unlike you upper-crust SWLs who have seen and used at least one of everything, I've never seen anything that....new, which seems odd to be saying about old tube gear. I figured it might be one of the sub-contractor deals like Northern Radio or such. Clearly I need to get out more!

Now, if I can just get some dial time on that Leary you've got squirreled away down there professor, I can die a happy man. (o:

BTW, George is looking for a -620 if you stumble onto a pallet load somewhere. He wanted my -320 but I declined.
