[R-390] I bought the R-390A (dead on 3Mc)

Well the R-390A followed me home. It was made by Electric Assistance  
Corp.

The front looks very nice with very little wear-through on some of the  
knobs. I don't have an antenna attached yet. I get a nasty 120Hz hum.  
Probably a bad power supply cap. I plan to curl up with the manual and  
get to know the R-390 better before I proceed with any repairs.

Another boat-anchor also followed me home. It came as a package deal.  
Both the R-390A and an E.H. Scott RBO liberty ship receiver both for  
$500.00.

The RBO seems to work, but it's dirty and the audio output is weak. I  
have two more projects to keep me busy.

I hope I didn't pay too much.
