[R-390] MFP Problem

Listers,

This winter when I can get some quality time with my radios, I have several for upgrading that were treated with MFP.

In the far distant past when I had to un-solder a joint coated with MFP it left a residue of uckempucky.

Does anyone have a method(s) of removing the stuff from at least the solder joints?

I’d rather not, but will if I have too, use carbon tet or MEK for a solvent even though I have a well ventilate outdoor area which it could be done.
