They have very high dielectric absorption, and a very nonlinear 
voltage coefficient of capacitance, so they tend to add rather 
unpleasant distortion products when used as audio coupling 
capacitors.  Since it is very easy to substitute something better, 
there is no reason to use ceramics in this application even if the 
audio is low-fi.

(Note that many audiophiles will not even tolerate polyester film 
coupling caps in their equipment, insisting instead on polypropylene, 
polycarbonate, polysulfone, polystyrene, or Teflon dielectric.)
