I looked hard at those HF equipment lifts when I ran a T-368C with my
R-390A's. The transmitter was 700+ lb, with the power supply drawer
nearly half of that. I had to build a little skid ramp just to get the
PS drawer out onto the concrete shop floor so I could get into it. Mod
drawer was better but not much. I finally decided the PS didn't need to
go up on the workbench after all, I could work on it just fine right
there, thank you. Just flipping it over to get at the bottom side was a
pretty good chore by myself, LOL. With major grunting I could manhandle
the mod deck, but the PS was another story. What a transmitter, though.
I later let a guy talk me out of it and was sorry for a long time
afterwards. Did you ever work many, many, many hours to get something
exactly like you want it, and then in a fit of insanity sell it a year
or two later? This was my worst case ever of just that. This thing had
some of the most beautiful, butter-smooth audio I've ever heard from an
AM rig.
