[R-390] R390A Turns Counter BFO option?

Howdy!
 
I've had an R390A  receiver for some years that has a big bug eyed  turns 
counter on the BFO.  There is also the remains of some NSA or other  paper 
tag on the back.  Otherwise the unit looks pretty normal as R390As  go.  Works 
well
