Hello Meir - actually trying to work a trade with a fellow in the UK
right now. The deal itself is no problem, I suspect the shipping will
kill it if anything does, since there is no more surface shipping
aside from containers. The radio itself is 100 lbs before packing, as
you know. Was over at JP's place for dinner Saturday night and got to
twiddle the knobs on his B40D. *drool* It gives you that nice, warm
feeling like slow dancing with the busty girl at the school dance. (o:

True, but then again - not much from that time frame can hold a candle
to the R-390 or A for overall performance and utility. IIRC, the B40
is also single conversion. It's certainly no hot rod. But as you say,
they have their own look and attraction. Reminds me of an Art Deco sky
scraper design, and that spiral staircase band-in-us dial is amazing.
If we can swing the deal, it will be my in-house, stand-alone
receiver. The 390 will be paired up with the 21E once it's
reassembled, and the A is already keeping the T-368 company.
