You're showing an exquisite taste when you're mentioning your yen for a
close encounter with and maybe even the wish to possess a Murphy B40D. Hope
you find one.

I admit I'm a B40 addict myself, and I'm lucky enough to have one. It's
really a very nice, well performing receiver, albeit not in the same
performance league with the R-390 or R-390A, but the weirdness quotient in
the looks of that receiver  is just something to behold and it has its own
beauty..

Better idea, Les: have Hank bang out an order of new tags that says
R-390 NON-A/URR, sell 'em on ebay as R at RE and get rich(er)!

I'd like to have a nice Murphy B40D here to tune around on tonight.
The 390 needs new caps and A#1 is holding down the T-368 out in the
garage. If anyone has a spare B40 kicking around, just holler. As mom
said, I ain't too bright, but I can lift heavy things.

Off to get another glass of A&W cream soda non-root beer. (o:
