With our supply of spare tubes looking doomed (and I have 200+ for BA receivers) is it time to look at using dual-gate MOSFET’s for the RF stages, FET’s for the IF and the LMXXX series of audio amps for our radios? 

Hey, now don’t get mad at me!  I didn’t bring of the subject.  And if they are doomed I’m out of a substantial amount cash.

Of course if we go that route we face a conundrum.  We will be greener but then the basement will be colder in the winter.  Decisions  Decisions  Decisions.
