If you wanted to use a GFCI to test for ground leakage but did not want to
potentially damage a radio due to a direct connection to ground you could
always make that temporary connection to the GFCI ground through something
like a 10 Kohm resistor.

There will be enough current to trip the GFCI. Giving you an indication of
leakage current but not enough current to damage anything in a radio that
would be that sensitive to a grounded chassis.

It is better than licking your finger and touching the chassis to find out
if you get a tickle.
