[R-390] electric cars

Hey guys and girls:

Way , way off topic.  I'll be brief.
All of the discussion re: plug-in support for electric cars assumes that 
the beasts sell.  Once the subsidies dry up ( 2 years) and the batteries 
don't perform,  well ? then what?   If I ran a Utility, I'd wait and 
see.  Which, of course, only adds to the chicken and egg problem.
Another  "poorly thought out scheme"? , nothing new there.
