[R-390] OT help

I do have the 3010-C receiver with the horizontal tape dial.  I was 
fortunate to get a manual so I feel privileged
I would like to see sort of a group that we can query for help on this 
equipment.

That is an excellent idea. There are a lot of picture by picture guides
for almost anything nowadays. I used one a while back to repair a
laptop, and there is one to repair the optic block in my Sony tv. It
looks to be an all day job and an iPad would be invaluable.
