Boy, is this true! This is deinitely a *mechanics* unit, and with *proper* restoration is possible to run for many years with little problem. That said, things do drift and deteriorate over decades, and trouble-shooting a poorly functioning unit does require time, thought, and care.... preceeded by a lot of reading.
