[R-390] YOU DO NOT WANT TO COME TO THE SOUTH

Bob said:

Glenn - I guess you have your opinion, but let them there Yankees "Come
on Down!".

We used to call them "Snowbirds". They only come down for vacation!
That way they spend their money in OUR states, help pay the state sales
taxes, and keep Hotels, Motels, AND rental properties in use. The
latter in reference to the Outer Banks!

Now some of us own some of those, and sure DO appreciate them Yankees
coming down, filling our wallets,, helping our neighboring
establishments, and generally spreading THEIR wealth down South!

That also helps all those Golf Courses to stay in business and help keep
them nice and pretty for when WE want to go there!

The ONLY stipulation: They HAVE TO go BACK after their trip! ROTFLMAO!

Bob,

I use to feel the same way but dawg gone it Bob, if they come for a visit, it seems we can't get rid of em..

Kind of like feeding that cute stray puppy that ends up being your tax deduction. Those ole northern fellows are OK, I guess,
except for the funny way they talk, yaw know what I mean.

Problem is after a visit here they sell out and move in on top of us. It's getting so, that in the big cities, most of the folks ain't from there anymore.
They come from places like Jersey, Brooklyn, Boston and other foreign countries.

I'd just as soon discourage em from coming on down!! Just more fish, deer, beer and boobs for the rest of us.... Oh... and vintage radios.... Hi

73,

Glenn WA4AOS

DSM Labs.

Yes Sir!

A minor correction on: "Dobzre pu Polska?".

I was running strictly on memory. Bad Idea!

It *should be* "Dobrze po Pulsku!"

To that I add "Na Zdrowie" and "Sto Lat!"

From the line of Dombruvska! (Americanized - Dabrowski.) It is in the

Polish National Anthem.

That would be Ungar. Still around as a niche product, but with the

tip not grounded

and no temperature control, not too good for solid state electronics.

Definition of R-390: audio device used to reheat a plate of Kielbasa.

Definition of Willie Mays' glove? The place where triples went to die.

It all depends on how one wants to look at it.
