Mike, et al,
Isn't that the difference that you just pointed out???  The "mystery" is 
spoiled nowadays with all kids are bombarded with on TV and the internet, 
BUT I still find that kids are fascinated that I can talk all over the world 
with a hunk of wire or a strange kite looking thing on a pole (quad), hi.  I 
am 64, started in 1957 or so myself SWLing, and it STILL fascinates me with 
all these satellite channels I could watch.  May it ever be so!  I loved the 
comment " I CAN STOP buying Collins gear, I just don't want to",  HI HI
