Back when I was in High School, before I knew about R-390A's a friend and I 
 paid a visit to
the McIntosh company in Binghamton, NY. They were very nice there and  let 
us walk around for about an hour or two. There were very long workbenches in 
 a large building with all kinds of super-looking audio
gear and reel-to-reel tape decks on the benches. That would have made a  
great video tour. That was back around 1970.
