We are indeed well represented on the list. I count at least three of us in
Alabama, two in TN, two in MS, a bunch in LA.

I think that generally speaking we all have a bit more land than a city
dweller would have in some place like Philadelphia or Lansing. More room for
antennas.

Generally speaking our electric utility rates are lower so it is easier for
us to run a tube based radio nearly continuously. I would not try that up
north where you may be paying up to 15 cents/KHh but some of us have
electric rates down around 4 cents/KWh.

Looking at the amateur radio operator distribution (that is only loosely
tied to R-39x/x) then "4 land" is one of the more saturated places.

Generally speaking, the deep south has fewer (damn yankees <lol>) moving
into it. They skip past us on the way to Florida.

I know that Perry is up in Manchester TN, Randy and Sherry are in Meridian
MS, Sandy is up in the Knoxville/Gatlinburg/ Johnson City TN area, Bob is
over there in VA (btw, early on the capital of the confederacy was in
Montgomery AL), we have folks scattered across LA.

I almost need a map with push pins to keep track of where everyone is.

(hiding out in NE Alabama (2 miles north of Gadsden)
