I've gotten one dtd 1963. It is labeled on one flat side of the can
cover: AMELCO, INC. The opposite flatside is marked AMERICAN - TRANS - COIL
Richmond Hill, L. I., N.Y.
So it wasn't only Art.
I have to say that whenever I take a can cover off, (Only two - both on
the IF deck.), that these would be very difficult to make by ourselves.
It is a PI-Wound coil, and has a resin around and over it - PLUS - it
has a ferrite cup that the resin is holding on VERY dearly with.
