[R-390] FS: R-390A

Colleagues,

 

   I am offering for sale a completely restored, absolutely cream-puff
R-390A.  It was thoroughly tested and tuned by Chuck Rippel in early 2008
and has had less than 2 hours of use since then.  This radio has no known
problems or peculiarities.   Chuck's remarks after checking and tuning it
were that this was one radio he'd be happy having on his own shelf.  I'm
selling because I don't use it since I have a pair of Icom IC-R9000
receivers.  While they don't give the same great tube sound as a R-390, they
take up less space (two fit into the same space) and have greater coverage.
Hence, I'm downsizing as a collector and becoming more of a pragmatist in
these economic times!

I'm asking for offers and, based on what I know, I'd guess this radio will
sell in the $2K - $2.5K range.
