[R-390] R 390 (A) Mods Solder Post

Hi,
Recently,I went on a quest to find single solder post for some modifications I wasplaying with on R 390A's. Ray at Electric Radio was kind enough to send me afew for an AGC mod I was working with but I knew I was going to need to find asource; So off to the Internet  I went. 
Ilucked out and found on ebay some NEW OLD STOCK post that were made in Russia and being soldby a really nice fellow and Ham OP IY2KW in Lithuania. Shipping to the US wasonly $5 no matter the quantity. I ordered 250 for my shop.
Theseare not exactly like the ones used in 390A modules but they are close enough.The two pins op top are isolated from the base which is a threaded brassinsert.. Don't loose the provided screws unless you have a supply of metricreplacements. 
 
Theheight of the post is the same as the ones used in the 390 series receivers,but the base is slightly wider; a non issue!
The pinspacing at the top of the post is a little wider than ones found in R390Areceivers. I squeezed them a closer together with pliers but it wasn't necessary.
 
So ifyou do mods on 390 (A) receivers or heck almost any mod in general, SMT BOARDSEXCLUDED, you might want to get some of these solder post. How many times havewe needed one more solder point for a PC board mod? This is perfect with asmall hole out of the way through the PCB and bingo, you have a perfect solderpost..
 
I havefound these to very helpful for a number of 390 and 390A mods. I have a modthat I want to do to one of my Ten Tec Tritons IV's and will just attach thestandoff to the PC board needing the mod and solder my three common end partsto that post. 
 
I can'ttell you the number of times I have built something and performed a carefullayout using terminal strips, only to find I needed one or two more solder post;my reason for ordering 250. 
 
Theseller's bid starts as 5.95 for 50 or $8.65 for 100. He has buy-it-now pricesabout a buck more than these prices. If you check the auction's I am providingnumbers for and the item has sold, check back in a few hours. Apparently, hehas plenty of inventory and relist more items once others have sold. 
This issomething you folks should want to jump on, I don't know much longer point topoint solder post will be available in a world of robotically built SurfaceMount Electronics. Hi hi.
