I have two HP 606 s one is an ''A'' That I got from Pete Vk3Iz [on this
list] the other a ''B'' was a throw out ,although I did donate 20$ to our
radio club ,to get the last one , They have been very reliable over the
last 15 years ,but one did develop a fault in the leveling circuit ,it
turned out to be a High value resistor, I have collected some spare tubes
to support them acquired at Trash and Treasure sales , they both are
capable of very high output +23Dbm into 50 ohms ,I use them for doing
dynamic range and blocking tests along with a HP return loss bridge , also
to power my GR916A RF bridge , They are both valued Items at this QTH
Regards to all Bernie N VK2ABN
