[R-390] Revision differences, Fowler vs. different generations of the R-390A

Has anyone done a comparison of the component value or design differences
between the Fowler version of the R-390A compared to some of the other
generations of the receiver?

I assume that not all changes were for the sake of price savings and that
some may be for performance improvements as the design was slightly refined.

I know that the most significant changes have come out of later, unofficial,
well thought out and tested amateur modifications. Is there anything
particular to the Fowler version that would be worthy of incorporating into
a mod?
