The femaie cord-mounted connector arrived today. A perfect fit on the R390
power jack on the back panel. The short pigtail looks to be wired exactly
for the R390 120 Volt AC power needs. I checked it with an Ohmmeter. But will
do a real inspection before I apply power. While the back shell is not an
exact 1950 style, the plug fits and has the right military look.
I like the cord-mounted connector as any modern PC cord will plug in to
that. A nice conversion to a three wire cord from the original wire cord. I
will check where the ground goes through the receiver side to make sure it
provides a good ground.
I do not know where you got it, but the R390 owners hope you have some
more. The item is a wonderful solution to the R390 specific power cord issue for
those who do not have an original connector.
The only part number is on the screw key tab. UW1320FA17 Nice rubber
bushing in the cord grip. Nice OD green color anodize coating on the metal.
Thank you for the part.
Bill, If I were to put the matching chassis mount male connector with it,
Does it look good from the outside of the receiver it that it looks like it
belongs there? Does it allow one to plug the R390 into a GFI protected
circuit with out tripping the breaker?
I am thinking one could put a soldered up box around the jack on the inside
to look like the current filter and stuff that with some parts that would
filter the line while not tripping a GFI breaker. I do not yet want to do
this to this Receiver, but I am sure some one will be asking you for some
details.
