  It would seem to be a little strange place for connecting a product 
detector.  It has its wiring headed directly into the Audio Module.

I have enlarged it the best I could, and I'm not convinced the "black" 
object above the bnc connectors is even a tube.

Then again, there has been a lot of "mods" with the best of intentions.  
They don't always prove beneficial.

That may be why the BNC aren't connected.
