[R-390] A Group Question

I seem to recall that one went for a good price on ebay a few years ago. Not sure how you would find out how much it went for. I think it was a pretty impressive piece of gear, much more than a plain old keyer...

  I have had in my stable of gear a KEYER that I don't even remember
  getting. It appears to be some ancillary piece of gear for a R-390 or
  R-390A as it has the same knobs, handles and paint finish.

  Can anyone tell me what it does, what it is used with and what if any
  purpose does it serve these days.
