Brian,

The choice here is a small old fashion terminal strip with 4 points.
A 100 volt 1 amp solid state bridge being neater than 4 diodes. (or higher 
rating)

A strip with a lug on the end and that stands up looks better. And may make 
the rewire cleaner.

Put the bridge to the terminal strip first.
Mount the strip to the old bolt hole used by the original stack.

Move the wires from the stack to the new bridge. Reorder as needed.

Add a Cap across the bridge if you feel the need.

Replacement stacks are available as NOS (not overly safe).

These items do not last on the shelf like tubes do.

Or more modern production near look alike and equivalent or higher rating.
