Roy and All,
The unit with the large knob is the 'mute'/TR device that was a voltage divider-TR relay and part of, I believe, the voice unit for the TBL. If your RAK or RAL has three little hole on the top left it is for this box. The divider is capacitors and you are supposed to adjust your sig level on TX so matches the RX sig from the distant station. The relay uses 110volts from the TX/audio control unit. CND 23073 is the RX audio switch for either/both audio from the RAK/RAL. I have both boxes for my RAK/RAL installation...and somewhere the manuals and schematics.
