[R-390] Front Panel Diode Load

Bill,

The front panel diode load is / was a hack on many Navy receivers used by the 
Navy.

Story 1, you could meter the diode load without pulling the receiver out of a 
rack.

Story 2, you could plug a pin into the jack and patch the audio from the 
diode load into a PA system or other audio amp.

Story 3, you could plug a head set into the jack to ground and get audio.

Maybe some of the Navy guys who actually used the receivers after the mod 
could give us some insight.

I have not seen any documented wiring for the mod.

I am not sure it went to the diode load on the back panel. 

The wire was likely soldered to the back side of the terminal board.
