It's not the Siemens E310 (a.k.a E366) receiver, which IS the
"rainbow" receiver.
This is the Telefunken E127KW/5 receiver, which is the military
version of the E127KW. The coverage starts from 1.5 MHZ.
This is the standard receiver which was used with the Rohde $ Schwartz
SK010 100 W transmitters (CW, AM and RTTY) in communications vans in
several NATO armies - similar in mission and use to the US Army GRC-19
equipment (R-392 receiver and T-195 transmitter with all the ancillary
RTTY equipment.
I have both the "Rainbow" which is a Merchant Marine shipboard main receiver
and the E127KW/5. They're both nice receivers but the E310 is more
sophisticated and goes down to 10 KHz.
