Note that the ability of the 390 line filter to trip a GFI arises 
because the line filter has high leakage current (capacitively 
coupled, not galvanic, but high leakage current nonetheless).  If you 
do not securely ground a radio that has an original line filter, you 
can get a respectable shock from the radio chassis.
