[R-390] OT Apollo 11 Mission

Two reflections:

I was in Army basic training and driving a rental car back to Ft. Jackson,
South 
Carolina from weekend leave that I spent at Myrtle Beach with a bunch of 
other GIs when I heard the news on the car radio. While I was excited by 
the moon landing, I was even more excited when we got back to the post 
that we had the next day off !

My father was born in 1902 - six months before the Wright brothers flew and 
lived long enough to see men walk on the moon. Talk about progress in one 
lifetime !
