make things seem confusing to someone who might think that refers to 
"Radio Shack" (the name originally was Radiospares).

My former employer did a good business with Allied and I used to give 
the guys from Fort Worth a hard time whenever I could about how they 
should re-introduce the "Knight Kit" line and stuff like that.  They 
have a good management team and are doing very well, adding lots of new 
lines and growing, but no one at Allied today has much of a clue as to 
their history.  When I told those guys I had catalogs back to the 30's 
they looked at me like I was nuts.  Well, guilty as charged! 

Allied Radio was founded in Chicago in 1928, by the way, and moved to 
Fort Worth in 1970.
