[R-390] OT

  Some time ago I visited the local "Rat Shack" to purchase a cigarette lighter plug.  I brought my selection to the counter and the young salesman tried to sell me every adapter in the place. Exasperated at fending off the sales pitch, I told him  I was going to cut the connector off and solder a different connector on the end.
  He sputtered and tried to explain why that was not possible and finally said "well, you can't bring it back if you do that".........

  If it weren't so darn heavy I would bring the R-390A into the store, plop in on the counter, turn it upside down, point and say "I need one of those thingys"
