[R-390] Best approach for SSB mod on R-390A

I know the Skirrow detector does not have an AVC function, and so he says  
in the manual that you may need to ride the RF gain.  But the real issue  
with the AVC is that you need a fast attack/slow decay in order to accommodate 
 the rapid variations of SSB.  With my adapter I just run the AVC voltage  
into the AVC circuit- the adapter provides the fast attack and the radio AVC 
is  set on slow to provide the slow decay. I don't know about the SE-3-for 
the  price, I hope it provides every function required.
