[R-390] R-390 Dilemma: Deaf RF Deck

Good morning to all,
I'm going to ask for the groups collective assistance again as I had great
success & learned quite a bit with my last issue "R-390 MELTDOWN" a month or
so back. This was the indirect cause of my "meltdown" experience - as I
originally pulled the RF deck in this receiver because I suspected it had a
problem. I confirmed it by substituting the deck that later had the
"meltdown" - now repaired & working.
Now I want to find out why the original RF deck is deaf. I've synchronized
it and reinstalled it in the receiver and it is completely "Deaf". I doesn't
receive any signals, won't pick up the calibrator at all and it only mildly
hears the PTO when it is zero'd on the dial. In this case I know there may
be many possible causes of this "hearing" problem and would like to hear the
most likely source/cause(s).
So far I've tested all the tubes and all test good, found a bad capacitor (C
228) of the 1st RF Amp and replaced it but this has not solved the problem
thus far.
Any ideas where to best continue my search would be appreciated. I'm sure
this will be successful as well.
Best 73's
